ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer (PECB)

A five-day PECB course on planning, implementing and running an AI management system to ISO/IEC 42001, with the certification exam on the final day.

Once an organisation starts using artificial intelligence, questions about accountability, risk and documentation follow quickly. ISO/IEC 42001 sets the requirements for an artificial intelligence management system (AIMS), and this course teaches you how to put one in place. You work through leadership commitment and scope, then risk management, controls, operation and preparation for a certification audit.

Certification

The exam lasts three hours and covers six competency domains: fundamental principles and concepts, the requirements of the standard, planning the implementation, carrying out the implementation, monitoring and measurement, and continual improvement and preparation for a certification audit. After passing, you can apply for one of the PECB credentials for ISO/IEC 42001: Provisional Implementer, which has no experience requirement, then Implementer, Lead Implementer and Senior Lead Implementer, depending on your years of professional experience and project hours in artificial intelligence management. Each credential requires you to sign the PECB Code of Ethics. The course carries 31 CPD credits, and if you do not pass the exam on the first attempt you may retake it once within twelve months.
