ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor, auditing an AI management system
A five-day PECB course that teaches you to plan, conduct and close audits of AI management systems against ISO/IEC 42001.
Organisations are putting artificial intelligence (AI) to work across more and more processes, and that use has to be governed and controlled. ISO/IEC 42001 sets out how an AI management system is built, and as more organisations set out to demonstrate conformity, auditors are needed who can judge whether the requirements are actually met. This course gives you the knowledge and skills to plan and conduct audits against ISO/IEC 42001.

Certification
You sit the exam on the final day. It runs for three hours and covers seven competency domains: the principles and concepts of an AI management system, the ISO/IEC 42001 requirements, fundamental audit concepts and principles, preparing, conducting and closing an ISO/IEC 42001 audit, and managing an audit programme.
Once you pass, you can apply for one of the PECB ISO/IEC 42001 auditor credentials. Which one you qualify for depends on your professional experience and documented audit experience. Provisional Auditor has no experience requirement, while PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor calls for five years of professional experience, two of them in AI management, and 300 hours of audit activities. All credentials require the exam and your signature on the PECB Code of Ethics. Exam and certification fees are included in the course, and if you do not pass, you can retake the exam within twelve months at no extra cost. You also receive an attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD credits.
