ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer (PECB)

A five-day PECB course on establishing and running a privacy information management system (PIMS) to ISO/IEC 27701, with the certification exam on the final day.

Most organisations process personally identifiable information, and a PIMS is what protects the privacy of the individuals whose information it is. A privacy information management system based on ISO/IEC 27701:2025 gives you that structure. The course covers how to establish, run and improve such a system, and how to implement the privacy objectives and controls that apply to PII controllers and PII processors.

  • Advisors who want to master the implementation of a PIMS in an organisation

Once you pass, you can apply for one of the PECB credentials: ISO/IEC 27701 Provisional Implementer, Implementer, Lead Implementer or Senior Lead Implementer. Which one you qualify for depends on your professional experience and the number of hours you have worked on PIMS projects, and all of them require the exam and a signed PECB Code of Ethics. You receive an attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD credits, and the course fee covers one exam retake within twelve months of finishing the course.
